@chokeonthis559 No. This scene is based off of Huo Yuanjia's(sp?) defeating the entire Japanese national Judo team + instructor. Similarly Jet Li's Fearless, the movie Ip Man, and one other movie have all done fights similar to this where a Chinese martial artist beats up a whole school of Japanese martial artists, all based on Huo's defeat of the Japanese.

@valgez Exactly but like you said in 1960's and 70's America in an age where most modern combat included more guns and much less hand to hand combat than earlier generations, Bruce resurrected the concept of complete hand to hand combat that societies in ancient or midievel times regularly used and understood. In fact, techniques from Bruce's JKD have been used since then have been used to train many military and police forces. Just look up Paul Vunak for example...Navy Seals instructor.
